ZABEL JOINS HERMITAGE LAND COMPANY
Former Partner at Alpine Lodging & Real Estate to Focus Efforts as Broker
Telluride, Colo. November 8, 2006 – Paul Zabel, a longtime Telluride local and former partner in Alpine Lodging & Real Estate, today announced he is joining Hermitage Land Company as a real estate broker. Hermitage Land Company was established by Pete Johnson in 1988, and specializes in Telluride area land and properties.
Zabel became a partner in Alpine Lodging in 1996, and was instrumental in growing that business through the acquisition of multimedia properties, including telluride.com, as well as the establishment of the company’s real estate division. He sold his interests to his partner in December 2005, and had remained active as a broker with Alpine Lodging & Real Estate.
“I am excited to be joining forces with Pete Johnson and Hermitage Land Company, because I’ll really be able to focus my efforts, and work on the types of projects that I find exciting and rewarding,” said Zabel. “Pete and I share a similar philosophy; we’re rooted in this area, we both have a passion for the outdoors, and we enjoy working with people who share a genuine connection with the region.”

During his 15 years in the Telluride region, Zabel has managed over 50 buildings in town, and brokered numerous properties in town, Telluride Mountain Village, and the outlying region. He has personally owned town properties, as well as several mesa properties in the region. “It’s important to not only know the market, but be a part of the market, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to apply a breadth of experience to the benefit of Hermitage Land Company and its clients,” added Zabel.
Hermitage Land Company is currently located in the Telluride Mountain Village.
