Welcome to Hermitage Land Co, LLC located in Telluride, Colorado. Pete Johnson started Hermitage Land Co in 1987 and has earned a reputation for exceptional service and product knowledge. He currently represents some of the finest properties and qualified buyers in the Telluride region. Mr. Johnson majored in Real Estate and International Business from the University of Colorado, Boulder and brings expertise in most aspects of real estate including land, ranch, residential, commercial, retail, apartments, industrial and real estate development.
In 2011, due to the changing economy and real estate business, we decided to be proactive and form a team with extensive background in all aspects of real estate, construction and ski area expertise. This year Pete Johnson was joined by Mike Rich and Johnnie Stevens. Together, we offer over 100 years combined experience with different but complimentary areas of expertise. Each of us has a Colorado real estate license. Allow us to familiarize you with who we are and services we would like to offer and provide.
Mike Rich has been in the construction industry for over 39 years beginning with residential construction and proceeding to projects which include office buildings, resort hotels, hospital, school and public works. Mr. Rich has acted as an expert witness and prepared insurance claims for litigation. Mike has served on the Mountain Village Design and Review Board, owners representative for Doral Hotel (known as the Peaks), Telluride Middle/ High School construction and additional 20 projects in the Telluride area.
Johnnie Stevens is the third and very important addition to the real estate team. He was the second employee of the Telluride Ski Company and over three decades was instrumental in transforming the mining town into a world class year around resort. His diverse and extensive experiences have involved mountain planning, construction, governmental interface, public service and successful leadership of over 1,000 employees. In recent years, Mr. Stevens has managed significant ranch properties around the state and was the local representative for the San Miguel Valley Corp.’s largest jury condemnation award in the history of Colorado, over $50,000,000. Johnnie Stevens has the honor of being in the Colorado Skier Hall of Fame and brings extensive knowledge and business/personal connections throughout the Western United States.
